These one-day workshops focus on lessons and works of art featured in classroom curricula published by the J. Paul Getty Museum's Education Department. Workshops include lectures, discussions about the artworks explored in the curricula, and a sampling of the activities in the lesson plans.
Participants receive interdisciplinary resources for the K–12 classroom about various artists, time periods, and themes using works of art in the Getty Museum's collection.
A new set of curricular materials for classroom teachers is published every two years. Curricula are written by Getty staff with input from a Teacher Advisory Group. All classroom instructional materials relate to the academic content standards for grades K-12.
