If you are bringing your class to the Getty Center for a Self-Guided Visit, and have never done so before, you are required to attend a Teacher Orientation Workshop in advance. These workshops will provide an introduction to the Getty Museum's collection, activities that can be completed in the galleries, information about site logistics, and strategies for preparing students for their visit and for extending learning after your trip.
Chaperones are also encouraged to attend the workshop. Teachers who have attended a Teacher Orientation Workshop in the past are welcome to attend the workshops again.

Date: Saturday, September 24, 2011 and January 21, 2012
Time: 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Registration: You will be assigned to a workshop as part of the school visit reservation process. For questions, to reschedule your workshop date, or to change the number of attendees, call Visitor Services at (310) 440-7322 and speak to a school group associate.
